Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information iCapSolutions collects through its services — including the
iCap SEO WordPress plugin and the cloud-connected scanning service it talks to — and how that
information is used. It applies to visitors of icapsolutions.com and to users of the iCap SEO service.
Information we collect
Site information. When you register a WordPress site with iCap SEO, we store the site’s
URL and an access token used to authenticate scan requests. When a scan runs, we process the page content,
titles, headings, images, and links needed to score and generate SEO recommendations for that content.
Account and contact information. We collect the email address you provide when signing up
or requesting support, so we can communicate with you about your account.
Google Account information (only if you connect Google Search Console). Connecting your
Google Search Console account is optional. If you choose to connect it, we request read-only access to
your basic Google profile (name and email address) and to Search Console data for sites you have already
verified ownership of in Google Search Console — specifically, indexing and coverage status for
your pages. We never request or use write access to your Search Console property, and we never modify or
delete anything in your Google account. You can disconnect this access at any time from the plugin’s
Settings tab, or directly from your Google Account’s
connected apps settings, either of which
immediately and permanently revokes our access.
Billing information. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. iCapSolutions does not
collect or store your full payment card number; Stripe handles that directly under its own privacy policy.
How we use your information
- To run the SEO scans and generate the scores and recommendations you see in the plugin.
- To display real Google Search Console indexing status alongside your scan results, if you’ve connected
your Google account. - To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send account-related communications (registration confirmation, billing, support responses, and
service notices). - Where you’ve enabled AI-assisted recommendations, to send the relevant page content to our AI provider
so it can draft a suggested improvement (for example, a meta description or image alt text). Nothing an
AI drafts is published to your site until you review and approve it, with the exception of a small set
of short, low-risk fields (like a meta description) which apply automatically to keep the workflow simple
— you can always see and revert what changed.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or ad targeting.
Google user data specifically
iCap SEO’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data
Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account data is used only to display real
indexing status inside your own iCap SEO dashboard — it is never shared with third parties, never
used for advertising, and never used to train AI or machine-learning models of any kind.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run iCap SEO, each under its own contractual
and privacy obligations to protect your data:
- Google — only for the Search Console connection described above, and only if you
choose to connect it. - Amazon Web Services — our cloud hosting and data storage provider.
- Anthropic — processes page content to generate AI-assisted recommendation drafts,
for accounts with that feature enabled. - Stripe — processes subscription payments.
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Data security
Access tokens and Google credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to stored data is limited to what our
systems need to operate the service. If you disconnect your Google account, the associated credential is
deleted from our systems, not merely deactivated.
Data retention and deletion
We retain site and scan data for as long as your account is active, so your dashboard and scan history stay
available. If you’d like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the email below and we’ll
process the request.
Your choices
- Connecting Google Search Console is entirely optional; the plugin’s core scanning and scoring works
without it. - You can disconnect your Google account at any time (see above).
- You can request a copy of, or deletion of, your account data at any time.
Children’s privacy
iCap SEO is a business tool intended for website administrators and is not directed at children. We do not
knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an
updated “last updated” date above.
