iCap SEO is a WordPress SEO plugin that gives WordPress teams a practical control center for SEO setup,

Every scan checks title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, content depth and readability, page
security headers, crawlability, structured data (schema.org), image optimization, and internal/external
link health. Each check is scored, explained in plain language, and — where it’s safe to automate — fixed
for you with one click.

are guidance-only by design, where the fix lives outside WordPress content entirely (server config, DNS) or
isn’t safe to automate (like fabricating a citation).

- AI Scanning — $19.95 per 100 credits: an add-on on top of Premium. Each AI-generated fix — a drafted meta description, an expanded section, a vision-generated image alt text, an AI-selected internal link, and more — uses a small number of credits depending on the fix. Credits never expire and roll over between purchases; buy more anytime from the plugin’s dashboard when you run low.
Upgrading, downgrading, and buying AI credits all happen from inside the plugin (Overview and Settings tabs) — no separate account portal, no manual invoicing.

AI-assisted recommendations
Live today, as a paid add-on on top of Premium (see Pricing above). Several of the plugin’s fixes are
genuinely AI-generated rather than templated: Claude reads
each page’s actual content and drafts meta descriptions, page titles, section headings, expanded content
for thin pages, and simplified rewrites for hard-to-read paragraphs — tailored to that specific page,
not filled in from a generic pattern. Image alt text is generated by a vision-capable model looking at the
image itself, not guessed from its filename. Internal linking uses AI to choose the most topically relevant
pages to link to, not just the most recently updated ones. Structured data now recognizes FAQ- and
how-to-formatted content already on the page and applies the correct schema type automatically, unlocking
richer search results where it’s genuinely warranted — never fabricated.
The same review guarantee applies throughout: fixes that generate substantial new content (expanded
paragraphs, simplified rewrites) are always drafted for your review first, nothing publishes without your
explicit approval. Shorter, bounded fixes (a meta description, a heading, alt text) apply automatically,
with a safe fallback to the previous template-based behavior if AI generation isn’t available.
Still on the roadmap: an optional AI judgment pass that reviews scoring for nuance rules can’t
catch (tone, intent match, calls-to-action), and a prompted, site-wide “do what I ask across my whole
site” capability. No release date yet — we’ll update this page when they ship.
Installation options
Option 1: WordPress plugin upload (ZIP)
Download the source archive from the public repository, package the
wordpress-plugin/icap-seo directory, then upload it in WordPress via
Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Option 2: Git clone + manual copy
Clone the repository and copy wordpress-plugin/icap-seo into your site’s
wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Public roadmap and release model
Development is public and iterative. Cloud-connected scanning, the full 31-check catalog, and AI-generated
drafts for several of its automatic fixes are all live today. We’re prioritizing multi-site validation and
stability ahead of formal WordPress.org submission, with AI-driven judgment scoring and a prompted,
site-wide upgrade capability next on the roadmap.
